This celebrates the transition from maiden innocence to a the phase in life we as women can create, manifest and birth creations into the world. This in not just about the ability to birth children but to birth all our creations, our networks, projects, programs, organizations, movements, art, music, relationships and more. All our creations in our adult roles, positions and professions.
Ancient cultures and many cultures around the world still honor and celebrate this transition. In America, this sacred and beautiful transition has been treated as a physical event (getting your period) when it means so much more.
This ceremony brings in grandma’s, aunts, mothers, sisters, cousins and friends all whom share their experiences, stories, advice, what happens to your body, how to care for yourself and how to honor and welcome this cycle. This ritual provides a positive, respectful and empowering meaning and entry way into becoming a woman. This ritual be done with a group of maidens or individually.
This is a SoulCollage Card expressing the sacredness of this time.
